The supermarkets under the DESPAR, EUROSPAR and INTERSPAR banner are widespread in our country with over 200 stores and more than 8,000 workers employed. Aspiag Service works through its 3 distribution centers (Ce.di.) in Bolzano, Udine and Mestrino (Padova), to which all direct and affiliated stores report.
The large number of workers and locations to be managed posed numerous critical processes for HSE and security managers to address. In particular, the management of training courses and medical examinations, but also the management of work-related risks in the hundreds of locations in different regions. Indeed, the convocation of workers to classes and medical examinations could be optimized through computerized procedures in order to maximize time and resources. The protection of assets also represents another strategic issue for the large-scale retail sector. The need to organize periodic store security audits was one of the objectives that became part of the digitalization project.
